llms.txt Validator & Generator

Validate an llms.txt file against the format rules, or generate a first draft from your sitemap.xml. Paste, fetch, or build, then publish it at your domain root.

Validate an llms.txt file

Paste the file content below, or fetch it from a URL. Validation runs in your browser; fetching a URL asks the Cubbbix server to fetch it read-only.

The file in thirty seconds

llms.txt is a markdown file that tells AI models what your site is and where the good pages are. One H1 names the site. An optional blockquote under it summarizes it. H2 sections group the links, and an Optional section at the end holds links the model may skip. Every link should be absolute, because the file will be read far away from your pages.

Put it at /llms.txt on your domain root. It is a proposal, not a ratified web standard, and no file on earth guarantees an AI will read it. But it costs one file and one afternoon, which is a cheap bet on the way the web is heading.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the llms.txt format rules?

An llms.txt file is markdown with exactly one H1 naming the site, an optional blockquote summary right after it, then H2 sections each holding a list of markdown links to the important pages. An optional section at the end, titled Optional, lists links models may skip. Links should be absolute URLs.

Where does the llms.txt file go?

At the root of your domain, served at /llms.txt, so it is trivially discoverable by any model or crawler. A longer companion file with full page content can live at /llms-full.txt, but the validator here checks the summary file.

Who reads llms.txt?

AI assistants, agents and crawlers that look for a machine-readable summary of a site before reading the pages themselves. It is a proposal, not a ratified standard, but the file costs almost nothing to publish and gives models a clean map of what matters on your site.

What does the generator produce?

The generator fetches your sitemap.xml, groups up to 200 URLs by their top-level path section, and drafts an llms.txt with an H1, a summary line and H2 sections of absolute links. The draft opens in an editable textarea; review it, fix the wording, then publish it at /llms.txt.

Is any of my data uploaded?

Validation runs entirely in your browser. The URL-fetch modes ask the Cubbbix server to fetch the address you give, read-only, so that site sees a request from Cubbbix. Nothing is stored or shared.
