Subtracting 11 hours is almost like flipping the AM/PM and adding one hour. For example, if it is 2:00 PM right now, flipping the AM/PM makes it 2:00 AM, and adding one hour forward makes it 3:00 AM. Thus, 11 hours ago from 2:00 PM was 3:00 AM.
