About the Hebrew assessment

This tool estimates your Modern Hebrew (עברית) level using a fixed bank of multiple-choice items across vocabulary, grammar, and common idioms. Scores are mapped to CEFR-style bands (A1–C2)—the same scale many European language programs use—so you can compare progress alongside Spanish, French, or English self-checks on Cubbbix.

Official immigration, university, or workplace requirements in Israel often use exams such as the Yael / Hebrew proficiency tests from recognized providers. Treat this quiz as a practice estimate, not a substitute for those proctored exams.

Levels at a glance

  • A1–A2: Basic words, phrases, and simple present patterns.
  • B1–B2: Everyday communication, richer grammar (tenses, possessives, connectors).
  • C1–C2: Nuanced structures, formal connectors, and idiomatic Hebrew.

Frequently asked questions

Is the certificate official?

It’s a Cubbbix completion PDF for your records, CV supplement, or classroom use. It is not issued by the Israeli government or an accredited testing center.

Do I need to know nikud (vowel dots)?

Some items include nikud to disambiguate words; others use unpointed script as in normal Israeli typing. Both appear in real life—this mix reflects that.

Will I get the same questions every time?

Items are shuffled and sampled from each difficulty bucket, so retakes may feel different even though the bank is fixed.

Biblical Hebrew vs Modern Hebrew?

This quiz targets Modern Hebrew (contemporary Israeli usage). Biblical or liturgical Hebrew follows different norms.
