About the Portuguese Assessment (CAPLE & CELPE-Bras)

Welcome to the Official Cubbbix Portuguese Assessment Test. Because Portuguese diverges significantly between its European and Brazilian dialects—both in phonetics and localized idioms—this test is engineered to focus on universal grammar structures, vocabulary, and syntactic logic shared across all Lusophone regions.

Understanding Your Score (CAPLE vs. CELPE-Bras)

Your results are displayed using the overarching CEFR letters (A1-C2). However, they map directly to the official certification frameworks required by governments in Portugal and Brazil.

  • A1 (ACesso/CIPLE/Inicial): Can understand highly familiar expressions. You know basic greetings, numbers, and colors.
  • A2 (CIPLE): Can interact in routine situations. This is the minimum level required for Portuguese citizenship or permanent residency via CAPLE.
  • B1 (DEPLE / Celpe Intermediate): Minimum requirement to apply for naturalization in Brazil via CELPE-Bras. You can deal with most daily friction.
  • B2 (DIPLE / Celpe Upper-Int): Fluent enough to study at a university in Portugal or Brazil and work in professional environments.
  • C1 (DAPLE / Celpe Advanced): Can express complex business ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching.
  • C2 (DUPLE / Celpe Highly Advanced): Mastered regional nuances. You can effortlessly understand academic texts, old literature, and regional idioms.
